The Board of Directors of Rights and Responsibilities Awareness Initiative (RRAI) is seeking individuals committed to spreading legal, financial, and cultural awareness to the London and Middlesex community.
The Rights and Responsibilities Awareness Initiative (RRAI) is a community initiative, incorporated as a registered charity in the purposes of
- to advance education by delivering seminars to the public on Canadian laws and regulations;
- to provide education, settlement services, and other support services to newcomers; and
- to undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the above mentioned charitable purposes
We are actively seeking board members with experience in: legal, governance, education, accounting, and technology.
Members of the board and its subcommittees play a vital role in the organization, setting its direction and ensuring the best possible outcomes for RRAI.
Meetings are held monthly with some work in between meetings. You should expect a commitment between 2 and 5 hours per month. Board terms are two-years.
RRAI is committed to principles of anti-oppression and employment equity. We encourage members from Indigenous, ethno-racial, LGBTQ+, immigrant, refugee, differently abled and other equity seeking groups to apply and self identify.
